Incorporated by act of 4th August 1890. As from 1st January 1914 undertaking was worked and managed by Midland Railway Company. Midland Railway Company was amalgamated into London Midland and Scottish Railway Company under North Western, Midland and West Scottish Group Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 30th December 1922. Under London Midland and Scottish Railway Preliminary Absorption Scheme 1923 dated 3rd April 1923, Tottenham and Forest Gate Railway Company was absorbed into London Midland and Scottish Railway Company as from 1st January 1923, immediately after North Western, Midland and West Scottish Group Amalgamation Scheme 1922 came into operation and took effect.
