Incorporated by act of 21st July 1859. Line worked originally by Shrewsbury and Hereford Railway Company. By virtue of Section 75 of Great Western Railway (Further Powers) Act 30th July 1866 it was transferred to Great Western and London and North Western railway companies jointly as from 1st January 1869 by Indenture dated 1st December 1868. Books of Transfer etc. were kept by Great Western Railway Company.
