Incorporated under Stratford upon Avon and Midland Junction Railway Act 1st August 1908 as an amalgamation of Stratford upon Avon, Towcester & Midland Junction Railway, Evesham, Redditch & Stratford upon Avon Junction Railway, and East & West Junction Railway.
Stratford upon Avon and Midland Junction Railway was vested in London Midland & Scottish Railway as from 1st January 1923 under London Midland & Scottish Railway Preliminary Absorption Scheme 1923 dated 3rd April 1923.
