In 1967 the Minister of Agriculture announced his intention to set up an independent committee of inquiry to examine both policy and arrangements for dealing with Foot and Mouth and to advise whether changes were necessary. The Committee received both written and oral evidence with a final report detailing the Committee?s recommendations being published in 1969.
