Folios 346-347: George Portlock, 19 Stratford Place. States in pursuance of Directions from the Admiralty from Vice Admiral Russel dated 24 December 1807. To receive on board HMS Quebec Edward Thornton Esq, His Majesty's Envoy Extraordinary Minister Plenipotentiary to the Court of Sweden and convey him and his Suite to Gottenburg. He requests he be granted the usual allowance for that purpose.
