Folios 281-282: Charles Pickford, HMS Glomen [HMS Glommen], Downs. Reply to their letter enclosing a copy of a letter from William Thomas James - Purser, HMS Glomen [HMS Glommen] and he observes that his statement is incorrect. His Clerk deserted from him and till he could procure another he ordered the Purser to keep his books up, which is the usual practice. He is consequence unable to send his last two months books or quarterly account.
