Folios 521-522: James Prevost, HMS Saracen, Spithead. Carpenter's defects of HMS Saracen, signed by James Prevost, Captain and Charles Pye, Carpenter.
Folios 523-524: enclosure with folios 521-522. Order dated 9 July 1807 from George Murray, Rear Admiral of the White, Commander in Chief, to James Prevost, HMS Saracen, given on board HMS Nereide off Buenos Ayres, signed by command of the Commander in Chief by Gidoen Murray. Directs him to proceed to England as soon as he has received on board the Officer bearing dispatches from Lieutenant General Whitelock. He is to land with the Officer at the first port he can make in the Englsih Channel and proceed immediately to the Admiralty, leaving the Commanding Officer of HMS Saracen to proceed on to Spithead but not to communicate with any person for 24 hours after his arival. He is to keep a weight atached to the dispatches and throw them overboard in case he falls in with an enemy of superior force and sees no possibility of avoiding capture.
