Description

Folios 508-509: D'Arcy Preston, Sea Fencibles, Whitby. Encloses a list of 55 volunteers to assist in bringing home the Danish fleet. He has hired 2 sloops to carry them to Leith The owners have agreed to victual them and deliver them on board HMS Texel at £1 11s 6d per man.

Folio 510: enclosure with folios 508-509. List dated 22 September 1807 from D'Arcy Preston, Sea Fencibles, Whitby, of volunteers from Whitby to assist in bringing home the Danish fleet. List of 55 men giving names, qualities, and present employment.
