Description (What the record is about)

Folios 466-467: Francis Pickmore, HMS Ramilies, Carlisle Bay, Barbadoes. Last December [1806] he applied for his son Henry Pickmore to be appointed to the Naval College at Portsmouth, understanding that this would take place in July or August 1807. Mr Grenville replied that he woud attend to his application at that time. As the Board of Admiralty has changed he thinks it might have been omitted so requests that directions be given for his son to be received on the establishment of the College.
