Folios 410-411: John Phillimore, HMS Bellette, off Lowestoft. Reports his arrival on his way to the Nore. He has safely delivered the ordnance stores from the Flora and Ocean transports into the garrison of Colbourg, leaving there on 27 May [1807]. Monsieur Gneisenau, Governor of Colbourg, asked him to take Lieutenant Fredercik Bredersee with dispatches for Mr Canning, Secretary of State, and the Prussian Minister in England and said it was important that he should consult with the English and Prussian MInisters at Copenhagen. When he got off Copenhagen he ordered the 2 transports to proceed to Elsineur and clear out at the Custom House. He landed the Prussian Officer at Copenhagen who conducted his business in a few hours. HMS Solebay and HMS Astrea were in the Roads so he waited on the Earl of Pembroke and Lord Gower. He received official letters from Lord Gower for Mr Hammond, Under Secretary of State. Mr Fenwick the Consul at Elsineur sent a recruit on board from the Commander of the recruiting depot at Helsingbourg. There are 25 more recruits waiting at the same depot for conveyance to England.He will land his dispatches and encloses his weekly account [not present] and will forward a log of his proceedings on his arrival at the Nore.
