Folios 370-371: Charles Vinicombe Penrose, Sea Fencibles, Padstow. Receipt of letter from Captain Devonshire informing him that the hired tender HMS Bolina under the command of Lieutenant Clarributt and a merchant brig laden with hemp and tallow came on shore in Perran Bay in the gale of 20 [November 1807] but no lives were lost. Captain Devonshire and his men were attending to save the stores of the tender and the cargo of the brig.
