Folios 299-300: Thomas Prowse, HMS Martin, Plymouth Sound. Reports his return having left Falmouth on 3 May with a convoy bound for the St Lawrence River, Halifax, Newfoundland and Bermuda. After a brush with two French privateers, details the positions at which the ships bound for various destinations parted company until he had only eight vessels bound for Quebec. The Eddystone and the Lydia separated in thick fog and later the Trelawney Planter and the John parted company. He saw the others safely into the St Lawrence and then returned, encloses [not present] a copy of his journal.
