Folios 249-250: George Prevost, HMS Saracen, Spithead. Reports that HMS Leander sailed from Bermuda on 9 April and that Captain Henry Whitby had spoken several days earlier to an American vessel which reported the French squadron at anchored at Cayenne. He thinks Captain Whitby did not give much credence to the report, but when he mentioned it to Admiral George Montagu, he was advised to pass it on to the Admiralty.
