Folios 231-232: George Prevost, HMS Saracen, Spithead. Reports the circumstances in which Boatswain Joseph Cassels deserted at Bermuda in April when given permission to go ashore. He has now been marked Run on the ship's books and he has given an order as acting Boatswain to John Duncan, previously Captain of the Forecastle. Asks the Admiralty to confirm this warrant.
Folios 233-234: enclosed with folios 231-232. Warrant dated 23 April 1806 signed by Commander George Prevost, HMS Saracen, at sea, appointing John Duncan as acting Boatswain.
