Folios 227-228: D'Arcy Preston, the Sea Fencibles, Whitby. As Lieutenant Thomas Linklater has been given another appointment, suggests Lieutenant John Quelch as his replacement.
Folio 229: enclosed with folios 227-228. Letter dated 18 June 1806 from Lieutenant John Quelch, Whitby, to the Admiralty. As he was invalided from Haslar Hospital the previous December and still is not fit for sea service, applies for the vacancy in the Sea Fencibles at Whitby.
