Folios 225-226: Stephen Poyntz, HMS Tartar, the Nore. Describes the circumstances in which he lost contact with his convoy in thick weather. His ship was under a jury rig and suffering heavily from the weather. Nota Bene. Describes in detail the manner in which the ship's timbers were working in the seaway and taking on water.
