Folios 213-214: George Pigot, 23 Warwick Street, London. Acknowledges the letter querying his travel expenses, explains that he was under orders from Vice Admiral George Cranfield Berkeley to take passage in the brig Aurora in order to get the despatches to England immediately without waiting for HMS Leander. Because he had to leave Halifax in a hurry after the Admiral ordered him to leave the ship he had been fitting out, all his furniture and belongings are still there.
