Folios 154-156: Robert Pettet, HMS Termagant. Copy of a narrative of the loss of HMS Athenian, Captain Robert Raynsford, on 20 November 1806, given to Commander Pettet at Malta by George Thorne, Purser of the Bergen. Describes in detail the efforts to save 470 people aboard HMS Athenian after she struck the rocks called the Esquerques off Sardinia while on her way to Malta. Lists the names of 14 of the 121 men and two women who survived and 16 of the 347 who died in the wreck.
