Description

Folios 119-120: Robert Pearson, Cricket near Chard, Somerset. Recounts the details of his 32 years' service in the Navy, in view of his failing health now asks to be retired with a pension. Mentions Captain Philip d'Auvergne, Prince of Bouillon, Captain Sir Home Riggs Popham, HMS Princessa, HM Armed Lugger Daphnae, HMS Fury, America, the West Indies, Falmouth, France, Reval [Talinn], the Gulf of Finland, the Texel. Endorsed by Admiral Lord [Hood?] to say Commander Pearson's statements about his health are correct.
