Folios 253-254: William Parkinson, HMS Zebra, Sheerness. As ordered by Lord Keith he is sending an account about John Ricks who is in very bad health.
Folio 255: enclosure with folios 253-254. Letter dated 15 February 1805 by William Parkinson, HMS Zebra. John Ricks sailed from London in August 1803 in the Thames, Master Joseph Black to the coast of Guinea to repair a castle. The Carpenter died on the voyage so he was made Carpenter. He was impressed on return in 1804 by HMS Pylades and then discharged into HMS Zebra.
