Folios 101-102: Charles Penrose, Sea Fencibles, Padstow. He is sending a letter from Lieutenant Fermander. Captain Oughton states that although Fermander's health is improved he is not fit for active service.
Folios 103-104: enclosure with folios 101-102. Letter dated 4 July 1805 by Donald Fermander, St Just, Lands End, to Charles Penrose. He was sent here from HMS Speedwell as his health was so bad. He has improved but hopes to spend more time recovering before he is fit enough for the sea.
