Folios 165-166: Richard Poulden, Regulating Officer, Whitby Rendezvous. Transcribes his letter dated 12 March 1805 about the impress of Robert Codling at Whitby.
Folio 167: enclosed with folios 165-166. Letter by George Codling, Whitby to the Admiralty. Advises that he sent a petition about his son Robert Codling asking for his discharge who was impressed by Captain Poulden's Gang and is now on board HMS Elder in the Humber. Advises his petition stated that his son is not fit for a sea faring life and is an Apprentice to John Barry, Ship Builder. Asks for confirmation whether the said petition was accepted and if his son will be discharged.
