Folios 145-146: Stephen Poyntz, HMS Melampus. Encloses a letter and list of men from HMS Kent who claim the Bounty, not having been paid off at the end of the last war.
Folios 147-148: enclosed with folios 145-146. Letter dated 9 November 1805 by 8 men who belonged to HMS Kent on board HMS Melampus, Plymouth to Captain Stephen Poyntz. Advises that they and the rest of the Company of HMS Kent who are on board are entitled to the Bounty and ask him to intercede for them so that they receive the same allowance as others who were drafted to other ships.
Folios 149 -152: enclosed with folios 145-146. List of men, by Captain Stephen Poyntz, entered on board HMS Melampus on 9 November 1804, who had been turned over from HMS Kent. Advises these men are entitled to Bounty money as they were not paid up at the conclusion of the last War.
