Folios 244-245: William Allen Proby, HMS Amelia. Reports that as he finds out of the 48 Seamen who were taken out of this ship at Woolwich to be sent to HMS Zealand there are only three remaining he is under the necessity of begging their Lordships to give him some assistance. They will see by the enclosed [not present] weekly accounts that is not only unfit for service in case of meeting the enemy but the Ship's Company is totally unfit to encounter any weather. He arrived here yesterday about 2 o'clock after the Guns were got in.
