Folios 172-173: d'Arcy Preston, Regulating Captain, Whitby. Enclosing list of Sea Fencibles in his district. Reports there are insufficient signal stations. Says giving Sea Fencibles long nine or twelve pounder brass cannon on gun carriages would not protect coastal trade from privateers but useful in the event of the enemy landing.
Folios 174-175: enclosed in folios 172-173. Named Sea Fencibles listed in Flamborough to Tees district; Robin hoods Bay, Scarborough and Filey.
Folios 176-177: enclosed in folios 172-173. Named Sea Fencibles in Flamborough to Tees district; Redcar, Staithes, Sandsend and Whitby. 554 in total.
