Folios 400-401: William Pierrepont, Liverpool. Refers to previous letters sent with regard to the gun vessels which will be ready to receive their guns within next two to three weeks. Ordnance Board letter of 23 November confirms guns are ordered and are to be sent to him by the Board of Admiralty. Requests to know number and which officers are to be sent to take charge of the gun boats and whether they are to be ordered on board by him or a higher authority.
