Folios 396-397: William Pierrepont, Liverpool. Encloses letter from the Committee appointed for the defence of Liverpool. As per his Orders dated 8 November gives details of the craft to be used and fitted at Liverpool. To man these vessels it will take 380 of the Sea Fencibles which leaves upwards of 700 men for shore service.
Folios 398-399: enclosure with folios 396-397. Letter dated 16 November 1803 from John Foster, Secretary, Committee Room, Brunswick Street to Captain Pierrepont. States that at a Committee Meeting of the inhabitants of the town to take measures for its defence against attack by the enemy has contracted for the building of four stout new gun vessels and twelve boats, all of which will be ready in one month.
