Folios 374-375: William Pierrepont, Farley Hill, Godalming. Has been asked by Lord Viscount Midleton Lieutenant of the Hundred of Godalming if he would be the Superintendent of the Tythings of the villages of Catshill and Farncombe in order to prevent sustinence falling into the hands of the enemy and to prevent their progress in the event of invasion. Is happy to do this and anything else to be useful in the present crisis providing it does not stop an appointment to a ship.
