Folios 277-278: Edward Pellew, HIMS Tonnant, Cawsand Bay. States that men listed on the second page of his letter were sent to serve on the Tonnant as impressed men say they were never given option to volunteer, which they wished to do. Asks if their receiving the bounty is admissable and if it is that the necessary directions are given. Second page gives name of 19 men who were impressed by HMS Renard on 12 March 1803 and five men impressed by the Boadicia on 8 May 1803. A number of the Hector's ships company who refused to volunteer for any ship have been sent on board the Tonnant, five of whom have since entered for her. Requests to know if they may be alowed the bounty and should any more volunteer whether they can also receive the bounty.
