Folios 213-214: Robert Paul, HMS Explosion, Great Nore. At the request of Admiral Rowley confirms that John Davis is 20 years old and volunteered his service and John Thomas says he is 20 years old, but apparently more, and a perfect seaman. The brig from which they were impressed had on board two men of the same description. Trusts his detention of the men will be approved.
