Folios 464-465: George Christopher Pulling, HMS Kangaroo, The Downs. He reports that he was able to communicate with HMS Fox for the first time since his arrival. He had been unable to do so before because of a fierce northerly gale. He adds that HMS Friends, who was in company with HMS Fox, has proceeded up the river but has orders to return as soon as possible to rejoin Admiral Lord Alan Gardner as ordered.
