Folios 460-461: Peter Puget, Kensington. He repeats that it was agreed by both the Admiralty and Admiral Thomas Graves that he join HMS Defiance as a volunteer. He asked that a passage be ordered for him so he could join the fleet. On arrival at Yarnmouth he found HMS Invincible had sailed and Admiral Sir Archibald Dickson told him he did not know of any vessel that would be going to the North Sea for some time. As he had been at Yarmouth for a week and there was no likelihood that the situation would change he returned to London, deeply disappointed. He repeats his offer of service.
