Description

Folios 446-447: Charles Papps Price, HMS Badger, Isle of Marcou (probably Isles Saint-Marcouf off Normandy)He received a letter from the Ordnance Stores on 20 October 1801 directing him to return all the ordnance stores on the islands to be returned to Portsmouth. This he has done aboard the cutter HMS Champion. He adds his concern that he appears to be being ordered to dismantle the navy's presence on the Islands yet he has not been told to do so by the Admiralty.
