Folios 375-376: Israel Pellew, HMS Cleopatra, Spithead. Reports his arrival at Spithead as per their directions to Sir William Parker dated 6 November 1800 to send HMS Cleopatra to England with first Convoy. He sailed with Duke of Kent Mast Ship from Halifax on 8 November 1801 but he unfortunately parted company with her in a heavy gale on 24 November 1801 [position stated] but as per the rendezvous given her he put into Falmouth on the evening of 3 December 1801 but finding she had not arrived, he sailed for Spithead next morning. Enclosed [not present] are the State and Conditions and Defects of HM ships in Halifax Harbour.
