Folios 324-325: Charles William Paterson, HMS San Fiorenzo, Downs. Informs that HMS San Fiorenzo has only Six Weeks Provisions, twenty three Days Spirits and not any Beer on Board. He requests directions to complete them. He mentions that the Ships Cappers are so bad as to have been declared by Survey unserviceable nor has it been possible to dispense the Provisions for the Ships Company in them for some days, as he finds the only method of getting them replaced here is by the demand being forwarded by the Naval Office of this place to the Navy Board who order the Cappers down; he mentions that as it may take some time to get new Cappers.
