Folios 266-267: Charles William Paterson, HMS San Fiorenzo, Spithead. Informs that the ordnance upon the Quarterdeck of HMS San Fiorenzo consists of 6 - 32 Pounder Carronades and six 9 Pounder Long Guns; the latter are upon an average six hundred weight heavier than the former: He submits to their consideration and judgement the propriety of causing her to be completed with 32 Pounder Carronades upon that deck in lieu of the Long Guns, saving nearly two Tons and do away with the mixture of cartridges, shot etc.
