Folios 212-213: Charles Dudley Pater, HMS Shannon, Leith Roads. Reply to two letters dated 28 March 1801 - and agreable to their orders, inclosed he sends the evidence, to prove that the Commanding Officer of the Ship Moreland, had refused to shew the necessary papers to the Lieutenant of HMS Shannon on the evening he took the Seaman out of that Ship. He also reports that he has ordered HMS Rover, Lugger possitively to sail this day in order to join Admiral Sir Hyde Parker, agreeable to his former orders, and thatb the Master of that vessel has reported his having funished the necessary sails, in lieu of those worn out.
