Folios 172-173: George Parker, HMS Santa Margarita, Plymouth Sound. Informs that he has discharged thirty two Able Seamen from HMS Santa Margarita per Order of Admiral Sir Thomas Pasley Bart., and from the number of men returned by Captain Charles Henry Lane of HMS Cambridge in this, and a draft sent on 22 March 1801 as not qualified for their ratings, and being obliged to send others in lieu. He is under the necessity of requesting you apply for an order to survey the Ships Company there not being sufficient number of Able Seamen remaining to navigate the ship.
