Folios 141-142: William Parker, HMS Stork, Plymouth Sound. Reports his arrival last evening as ordered by Admiral William Cornwallis (copy enclosed) and he informs that on the 5 September 1801 the ship unfortunately struck on a ledge of Rocks in Quiberon Bay in chase of a Brig, going at the rate of 8 knots and being aground for 2 hours, this accident has not occasioned her to make any water but they have reason to believe the false keel is damaged.
Folio 143: enclosure with folios 141-142. Letter dated 14 May 1801 by Admiral William Cornwallis, HMS Ville de Paris, off Ushant, to Captain William Parker, HMS Stork. Orders to proceed to Plymouth Sound for a supply of stores and provisions and water, staying less than seven days and rejoin him off Ushant or wherever you my learn he is.
