Folios 347-348: Charles Pater, HMS Shannon, Plymouth. He gives a detailed account of his activities since May 20 when he left Plymouth to cruise. He reports that French privateers and warships were active, but he was unable to engage with them.
Folios 349-350: enclosed with folios 347-348. Letter dated 30 May 1800 by Charles Pater, HMS Shannon to Thomas Manby, HMS Bourdelais. He issues orders.
