Description

Folios 93-94: Benjamin Page, HMS Inflexible, off Port Mahon. He reports his arrival with 10 ships and 4 regiments. He hopes the Admiralty received his report written aboard HMS Leviathan and forwarded by Vice Admiral Duckworth. He details his intended actions for the approval of the Admiralty. He says that he has adhered to the orders of the Admiralty rather than follow the directions of Lord Keith.

Folio 95: enclosed with folios 93-94. Orders dated 17 April 1800 by Lord Keith, HMS Minotaur, off Genoa. He orders Benjamin Page to join him with all his forces for the attack on Genoa.

Folio 96: enclosed with folios 93-94. Letter dated 12 May 1800 b6y H. Pigot, Major General, HMS Inflexible, off Minorca, to Captain Page. He asks to be landed so he can delivr dispatches to Lieutenant General Fox.

Folio 97: enclosed with folios 93-94. Letter dated 12 May 1800 by Lieutenant General Fox to Benjamin Page, HMS Inflexible. Asks when can he disembark the troops.

Folio 98: enclosed with folios 93-94. Joshua Mulock, HMS Hindostan. Letter to Lieutenant General Fox. He informs him that Lord Keith has given orders to Benjamin Page for the direction of his squadron and the troops it has carried.

Folio 99: enclosed with folios 93-94. Letter dated 12 May 1800 by Benjamin Page, HMS Inflexible, off Minorca, to Lieutenant General Fox informing him of his intention to follow the orders of Lord Keith and to join him at Genoa.

Folio 100: enclosed with folios 93-94. Letter dated 12 May 1800 by Lieutenant General H Fox, to Benjamin Page, HMS Inflexible. He informs Benjamin Page that he received secret orders from HRH the Duke of York that the forces under Major General Pigot were to be landed at Minorca and placed under the command of Lieutenant General Sir Charles Stuart.

Folio 101: enclosed with folios 93-94. Letter dated 12 May 1800 by Joseph Mulock, HMS Hindostan, Samuel Ballard, HMS Pearl, Major General Pigot to Benjamin Page, HMS Inflexible. They have considered the views of Lieutenant General Fox and Lord Keith and urge the landing of the troops at Minorca.

Folio 102: enclosed with folios 93-94. Letter. 12 May, 1800. Benjamin Page, HMS Inflexible. He informs the Admiralty that the 17th, 35th and 40th Regiments have been landed at Minorca.

Folio 103: enclosed with folios 93-94. Letter. 12 May, 1800. Lieutenant General Fox, Government House, Mahon, Minorca, to Lord Keith. He supports the landing of the troops at Minorca.
