Folios 25-26: Benjamin Page, HMS Inflexible, the Nore. Lieutenat Annersley has been appointed in the place of Lieutenant Lane, but he has also failed to report for duty. He repeats his request that Mr. Murphy, HMS Tromp, is appointed Boatswain in the place of Mr. Dowling who he says is physically unfit.
Folio 27: enclosed with folios 25-26. Statement dated 5 March 1800 that John Dowling, Boatswain, HMS Inflexible, has been in receipt of £4 p.a. from the Chatham Chest since 1793 as a result of an injury he received.
