Description

Folios 283-284: Peter Puget, HMS Temeraire. Asks for an order for his ship to be provided with pikes and swivels.

Folio 285: enclosure with folios 283-284. Foldover only.

Folios 286-287: enclosure with folios 283-284. Note dated 20 June 1799 from Mr Overy [sp?], Office of Ordnance, to Mr Pearce, Admiralty. No pikes are allowed to 1st and 2nd Rates, but 80, 74, 70 and 64 gun ships are supplied with 10 pikes each.
