Folios 230-231: William Allen Proby, HMS Danae. Returns William Kitson's indenture and the letter enclosed with it [not present]. He admits he was an apprentice and ran away from his Master's ill treatment . He entered on board a tender at Bristol 10 months ago and was discharged into this ship as a Volunteer from HMS Cambridge on 27 January [1799].
