Folios 226-227: William Allen Proby, HMS Danae, St Helier. Following directions, the 2 men he took from HMS Spiteful will be discharged again to her when the opportunity arises. Defends his conduct explaining that by order of the Prince of Bouillon he gave HMS Spiteful a man in lieu of the one he took. John Wood told him there was a man on board the gun brig who was of no use to him and with the Prince's permission he included that man in the order, as HMS Danae is so ill manned he was glad to grasp at anything he could get.
