Folios 207-208: Charles Papps Price, HMS Badger, Isles St Marcou. Yesterday 3 convoys passed them, one from Cherbourg, one from La Hogue and one from Issigney. The Polly lugboat slipped from under Barfleur and joined HMS Grappler and HMS Champion, sent to follow them and alert HMS Grand Falkener [Falconer] and HMS Dolphin that was off the Caen river. The convoys were so intent on pushing on that they did not examine the 2 tenders. Part went into Caen, but 3 brigs and a large lugger with 3 sloops went into Havre. He fears the Republicans know the strength of their cutters as the convoy actually went the outside of their islands, something never before attempted since they have been in His Majesty's possession. He has directed Lieutenant Chilcot to refit HMS Grand Falkener and rejoin without loss of time.
