Folios 196-197: Charles Papps Price, HMS Badger, Isles St Marcou. Encloses a letter received from the crew of HMS Sandfly. The crew of HMS Badger have applied to him on the same subject. Gives details of the dates of the ships' books at Portsmouth. It would avoid inconvenience if the pay could be sent there [St Marcou] by one of the Commissioner's Clerks.
Folio 198: enclosure with folios 196-197. Letter dated 20 September 1799 from the [unnamed] crew of HMS Sandfly to Captain Price. They understand the pay books have been sent home for the purpose of paying them up to 1 October 1798 and are now ready at Portsmouth dockyard. They have been on the islands a long time. They hope there will be an early opportunity to send them home to receive their wages.
