Folios 171-172: Charles Papps Price, HMS Badger, Isles St Marcou. He has received the lugsail boat from Portsmouth, but not the cannonades or the swivels. He asked for them in the usual form and has received the enclosed reply from the Ordnance board. Asks for directions for the arms to be supplied for the boat by one of the tenders.
Folios 173-174: enclosure with folios 171-172. Letter dated 11 June 1799 from R Crew, Office of Ordnance, to Captain Price, Commanding Officer at St Marcou. His letter of 4 [June 1799] has been forwarded by the Ordnance Officers at Portsmouth to the Board, for arms to be supplied to the lug sail boat of HMS Badger at St Marcou. They believe it would be more regular to obtain the permission of the Admiralty before they can deliver such services.
