Description

Folios 233-234: Edward Pellew, HMS Impetueux, off Brest. Reports that when he met HMS Clyde and HMS Diamond, he found that no report of the enemy fleet having reached Brest had been sent to England. He is sending the cutter HMS Fowey into Falmouth with a copy of his report which Captain Charles Cunningham of HMS Clyde is carrying to Admiral Lord Keith.

Folios 235-236: enclosed with folios 233-234. Report dated 13 August 1799 from Captain Edward Pellew, HMS Impetueux, of the French and Spanish ships gathered at Brest.

Folios 237-238: enclosed with folios 233-234. [Duplicate of folios 235-236].

Folios 239-240: enclosed with folios 233-234. [Duplicate of folios 233-234].
