Folios 259-260: Charles Papps Price, HMS Badger, Isles St Marcou [Îles Saint-Marcouf]. Reports that he has received several dispatches for General Frotte, by a boat from Normandy. HMS rose arrived this morning from England and he immediately sent her with them addressed to Mr Wyndham. By HMS Rose he received your secret instructions with their orders to attend to the correspondence under the Directions of HIs Majesty's Secretary at War. He has today communicated to Mr Woodford the present state of the persons here, and employed o that service, and request he will from time to time, point out if any change is necessary. Our boats have taken three fishing vessels, and fourteen prisoners from the enemy, from near the entrance of Caen River.
